My name is Robert Christiaanse and I am a web developer. I have been in the IT world for many years. I am not a typical nerd. I like the good life, travelling, sun, sea, good food and drink, animals and good company — a lot more important and interesting to me than advanced software development methods.
I recently emigrated to Spain. I wanted to get away from the busy cold Netherlands and start working for myself. I have worked for many large software companies and am, in fact, a C# .NET developer. For those who are interested, on the Resume page you can view my professional life.
Since I live in Spain, I want to work for myself, and I want to build websites for small businesses. In the past I built, maintained and managed competition software for darts organisations in the Netherlands (see dubbel16.nl — the site is in Dutch). I have also built sites for friends; see the Examples page.

I speak Dutch, English and reasonable Spanish. Where I can’t figure it out, there is always Don Google to help with translation. In practice it poses few problems.
I live in Casares in the province of Málaga. If you live somewhere else in Spain, that doesn’t have to be a problem. We can communicate using a program or app such as TeamViewer, Zoom, Skype or Microsoft Teams. No experience with this? Don’t worry, it works quite simply.
